Ontario Cooling Tower Chemical Skid
A food plant replaced drum-and-metering-pipe dosing with an AF-D skid; biocide and acid feed now track conductivity within two percent, and the water treatment audit closed clean.
Project Background
The plant runs two cooling towers with a combined recirculation of 900 cubic metres per hour. Chemicals were hand-dosed from drums with a metering pipe, which the corporate audit flagged twice.
Legionella control logging was also manual, which failed the insurance checklist.

The Requirement
Biocide at 4 litres per hour and sulfuric acid at 12 litres per hour, both modulated by tower conductivity, with local logging retained for 12 months.
Everything had to fit in the existing 2-by-1.5 metre chemical room next to the towers.
Pumps And Configuration Supplied
One AF-D dosing skid with two metering pumps (AF-D-100 for acid in PVDF, AF-D-030 for biocide), a 200-litre day tank each, and a compact controller that logs every dose to an SD card and the plant network.
The skid was wet-tested with water at our factory and the client witnessed the calibration run over video.
Dosing Pumps
AF-D-100 PVDF (acid) and AF-D-030 PVDF (biocide), 4-20 mA control from conductivity
Day Tanks
2 x 200 L HDPE tanks with level switches and drip containment
Controller And Logging
Conductivity-linked controller, SD card plus Modbus TCP to the plant network, 12-month log retention

Result After Commissioning
Dose tracking holds within two percent of the conductivity setpoint, and the corporate water treatment audit closed with no findings.
Chemical consumption fell 11 percent because dosing now stops exactly at target instead of overshooting.
